"The Glastle" Original Acylic Painting on Canvas 24" x 30"
"The Glastle" is an original acrylic painting I created on a 24" x 30" canvas. I named it “The Glastle” because it is a castle, but made of glass. It was inspired by the kind of worlds I get completely lost in when reading fantasy novels… the ones with towering castles, sprawling cities, and hidden magic. After finishing a particularly vivid book, I started imagining what a castle made entirely of glass might look like, and that idea stayed with me until I had to paint it.
I chose to work in a monochrome palette to give the piece a dreamlike, almost timeless quality. There’s something about stripping away color that helps me focus more on structure, light, and reflection—especially when imagining a place that doesn’t exist in our world. The city surrounding the Glastle came together as I painted, a kind of shimmering echo to support the quiet elegance of the castle itself.
If you’re drawn to fantasy, storytelling, or places that don’t quite follow the rules of reality, I think you’ll feel at home with this painting. It’s a personal piece, but it also leaves a lot of room for your own interpretation.
